New Chevrolet Suburban Trim Levels
- The base Suburban is the LS, which has power-adjustable front seats, a leather steering wheel, and standard eight-person seating.
- The LT follows with heated front seats and leather upholstery in the first two rows.

- The Z71 has all-terrain tires, hill descent control, and higher ground clearance.

Design
One of the Chevrolet Suburban's signature traits is its large size. The Chevy Suburban has a massive cabin that can comfortably fit large groups of people, and there's even extra space for everyone to spread out and relax. With the Chevrolet Suburban, you'll also get an independent rear suspension system that makes riding over bumps on Christiansburg roads easier. The seats are soft and wide, and you can choose from various materials based on your trim level. Legroom and headroom are exceptional, and getting in and out of the Chevy Suburban easily with its large door openings. The rear seat folds down to provide up to nearly 94 cubic feet of storage capacity, and in-cabin storage is also generous.
The new Chevrolet Suburban turns heads on Blacksburg streets with its large frame. The Chevy Suburban is also a wide and tall SUV, which helps it stand out from the pack even more. LED headlights are standard on the SUV, and the base model starts with 18-inch wheels. On other trims, wheels range up to 22 inches in size, and you'll get unique trim-specific features, including skid plates, chrome exterior accents, and unique fascia designs with more ground clearance.
Performance & Towing
The Chevy Suburban has a maximum towing capacity of 8,300 pounds, sufficient for pulling a small to mid-size trailer. This SUV is powered at the base level with a 5.3-liter eight-cylinder engine. This engine's power output is 355 horsepower, generating 383 pound-feet of torque. A ten-speed transmission is standard. A stronger engine, available on most trims and standard on the High Country, is a 6.2-liter eight-cylinder powertrain. This engine's power output reaches 420 horsepower, and its torque production is 460 pound-feet. A turbo diesel engine option is available for most trims as well. This engine generates 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is offered on most trims, and it is standard on the Z71 trim level.
The Suburban has the option of choosing between either a 2WD or 4WD, depending on your preferences. When you need to do some towing, the Suburban can haul up to 8,300 pounds. With models like the Z71 and the High Country, you can take advantage of the Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension to adjust the ride height and improve the aerodynamics of the Suburban.
Interior & Technology
An assortment of technology features comes standard with the Chevrolet Suburban. The standard technology list includes Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. Wireless connectivity comes with both. The base model has a six-speaker sound system and an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen display. An upgraded driver information display and a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen come with higher-end trims and a premium Bose sound system. A head-up display is added to the High Country trim level, and a rear entertainment system is available, too.
Safety of New Chevrolet Suburban
At a minimum, the Chevrolet Suburban has parking sensors, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist. A blind-spot warning is added to the Premier trim level. The High Country also gets a rear pedestrian warning system and a surround-view camera.
